President Lee Jae Myung began a state visit to France at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. The itinerary included the Lumière Summit, the Korea–France summit, a business roundtable, a meeting with the President of the French National Assembly, and a meeting with the OECD Secretary-General.
At the Lumière Summit, the leaders announced the launch of a global film and audiovisual investment cooperation initiative under which each country plans to invest 500 million euros from 2027 through 2031.
Around 20 major South Korean and French companies participated in a business roundtable to discuss cooperation in advanced industries, energy and sustainable chemistry, decarbonized mobility, infrastructure, finance, health, and beauty.

President Lee Jae Myung and President Emmanuel Macron held a summit at the Élysée Palace. The two sides exchanged eight agreements and memoranda of understanding covering defense, aviation, AI, semiconductors, quantum technologies, nuclear energy, industrial competitiveness, intellectual property, space, and culture. Samsung Electronics and France's Mistral AI also signed an investment agreement.
