Police Question Kim Se-ui Over Defamation and Insult Complaints Including Cases Filed by Eun Hyun-jang
Seoul Gangnam Police questioned Kim Se-ui as a suspect in cases involving alleged defamation and insult, including complaints filed by Eun Hyun-jang. Police had assigned multiple cases involving Kim to a concentrated investigation team. Kim disputed the allegations and defended his criticism and reporting concerning Eun.

This issue tracks the public, legal and corporate-control dispute that developed after the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute and its head Kim Se-ui raised allegations concerning entrepreneur and YouTuber Eun Hyun-jang, including claims involving stock manipulation, his business activities and the origins of his wealth. Eun denied the allegations and pursued criminal complaints and provisional attachments. In late 2024, he acquired a 50 percent stake in the corporation behind Garo Sero Institute and subsequently pursued legal procedures involving recognition of his shareholder status, a court-authorized shareholders' meeting, access to corporate accounting records and management authority. After Kim Se-ui was detained in 2026 in a separate case involving actor Kim Soo-hyun, Eun sought the appointment of a temporary director with representative authority and obtained a provisional attachment covering Kim's detention-center deposit funds, further expanding the dispute into corporate governance and civil enforcement.
