Seoul's gain widens to 0.29% as northern districts surge despite weakness in Gangnam and Seocho

Strong gains in northern and mid-priced districts pushed Seoul's overall weekly increase higher. Seoul apartment prices rose 0.29% in the week ending August 24, up from 0.22% the previous week. Jungnang, Seongbuk, Gangbuk, Dobong and Nowon posted gains above 0.5%, while Gangnam and Seocho remained weak for a third consecutive week. The result highlighted a pronounced geographic divergence within the market.
