Korail and SR Integrate as KTX and SRT Begin Unified Operations
The institutional integration of Korea Railroad Corporation and SR Co., Ltd. was completed, and KTX and SRT began unified operations under KTX. Existing KTX fares were reduced by about 10% to the previous SRT level, while overall high-speed rail seat supply increased by about 6%.
