This issue tracks the 2026 effort by Government of the Republic of Korea to expand housing supply and accelerate construction in response to housing shortages and rising sale and rental prices in the Seoul Capital Area. It follows the August 13 fast-track housing supply plan, including more than 230,000 additional homes, accelerated public housing projects, new public housing sites, support for redevelopment and private construction, expanded project-finance support, housing assistance for young people and newlyweds, and subsequent implementation reviews.
